Journey to Paradise, with Reverend Doti Boon.

Dear Travelers.

You haven’t heard from me for so long – you probably wonder what’s going on with our Hawaii trip Oct. 15th to the 22nd.  Well a lot has been happening.

We will be having a meeting on June 21st at 3:30 to go over all of the new and exciting things and why so much is changing.

I had three folks actually check out the hotel; since it was so cheap I was afraid it might be a nasty place to stay.  Well all three friends returned with horror stories and declared it a “dump.”

Julie said there was no way anyone over 130 pounds could fit into their showers.

Chris said the place had a very strange odor.

Paul said not only was it a dump – but a lot of prostitutes use it to do tricks!

There was no elevator and all of our rooms were on the 3rd floor.

There is no beach – just lava rock across the street.

The pool was dirty

Lots of screaming kids

The office staff was surly

Carpets filthy

Dirty windows

Reviews rated it 22nd out of 24 hotels in Kona

Very little parking if you arrive back after 5:00pm

And . . . no view!

 So – here we go.

We will be staying in ocean view rooms at the Keauhou Beach Resort Luxury Hotel – formerly the Outrigger.  Check it out on the internet.  It is Amazing!

The beautiful grounds of this resort have three heiaus(sacred sites) , petroglyphs, a lagoon where you can swim with sea turtles in the crystal clear ocean with fantastic snorkeling and a FREE buffet breakfast every morning before we start our amazing travels.  This place has elevators, great staff, good food and lots of sacred energy.

Outdoor pool and sundeck

Six-court tennis courts

Free trolley to the town of Kona and Keauhou Shopping Village

Hawaiian culture with arts programs for adults and children

Ocean-View fitness Center

We will be traveling in 15 passenger air-conditioned vans to:

City of Refuge

Luau at King Kamehameha’s “best on the Island”.  Great food and wonderful Hawaiian entertainment.

Swim with Dolphins (October 19th) with Michael and Melainah on the Uhane Nui O Nai’a with Sunlight On Water tours.

Orchid Farm

Volcanoes National Park (October 18th)

A shopping trip to Hilo

A visit to Akaka Falls

And much more – come to the meeting to hear all of the good things.

We are having to raise the price to $775. due to the difficulty in getting a decent hotel.  However, the free breakfasts alone make it worthwhile.  Everyone I talked to said they were wonderful with loads of fresh fruit, etc.

Check out the airfares to Hawaii – they are dropping drastically.  Let me know as soon as you get your tickets.

Looking forward to seeing you on the 21st at 3:30.  Bring any new ideas or information you might want to share.  Bring your check-book as it is time to pay the full deposit of $200. (some of you have already paid $100. or more).

Please let me know if you are going to be at the meeting.

Love, Light and Aloha,

Reverend Doti Boon
