U.C.M. Newsletter of Joy, Humor, Laughter, and Inspiration

Editor: Rev. Doti Boon

Vol. 9 pg.15 (04-15-10)

I am a co-creator of Mother Earth’s recovery.

Earth Day

“Earth Day” April 22nd is the first holy day which transcends all national borders, yet preserves all geographical integrities, spans mountains and oceans and time belts, and yet brings people all over the world into one resonating accord, is devoted to the preservation of the harmony in nature and yet draws upon the triumphs of technology, the measurement of time, and instantaneous communication through space.

The New Moon

If you are curious as to why we want to work with moon energy, it is so we can reconnect and use the tools of Magick that nature has provided for us.  It is to assist us in returning balance to our world, restoring health and well being to our lives.  It is to give us insight as to the celebration and joy of the life experience and to empower us with Magick to manifest all that we desire.

Throughout history there have always been people that paid attention to the moon and its various phases.  From ancient times our ancestors were aware of the moons influences on their body, mind and emotions. They knew that their personal affairs and Mother Nature were also influenced by its cycles.

This is the first New Moon since the Phoenix has risen from the ashes so it is extraordinarily powerful to further assist in manifesting all that you desire as you co create with the universe.  This new moon is in Aires and will be the most vibrant and inspirational of any new moons this year.

A heads up as Mercury is about to go retrograde and this will be quite an intense one as we are still under the influence of Saturn in Retrograde.  Remember with Mercury Retrograde it is best to remain silent as tempers are easily triggered and feelings can get hurt. While Mercury can create difficulty with communication it can also enhance our ability to receive information and to catch details ordinarily missed in our daily lives if we work with this energy effectively.  Journal, meditate, an excellent time to take classes on developing your intuitive skills.

The second week of Mercury Retrograde is the most challenging but also the week we have the opportunity to really fine-tune our ability to receive guidance from our teachers and guides if we take the time to open those lines of communication. When Mercury is retrograde this is the time to do all the things we classify, as I will do this later when I have time.  Take the time because nothing else is going to move forward.

Mercury’s retrograde cycle tends to bring unforeseen changes and blockages, but the aggravation and frustration that many of us experience during these periods is often due to our own inability to roll with the punches. Unresolved issues from the past tend to push themselves forward especially related to matters of the heart.

Mercury retrograde, like any cosmic aspect, affects people differently but we will all feel it.  It officially goes retrograde on April 18th and begins a forward motion on May 11th although you will not completely feel the affect of forward movement until May 28th; right about the same time Saturn will finally begin its direct cycle on May 30th.   Use this time wisely to tie up any remaining loose ends.

Take a good look at the progress you have made since October of 2007 and reexamine where you were and who you were then in regards to relationships, career, and belief systems and even where you may have been living.  We are in a time of dramatic change so the more we acknowledge the lessons we have been presented with the further we can go when Saturn goes direct.

Remember we have the ability to shift realities with focused thought and intention, patience and faith. A powerful phrase that I say daily to reaffirm the changes taking place especially when uncertainty arises are these words… I AM EVERYTHING I WAS BORN TO BE!!!!

Wishing you magick, and a Happy New Moon.

Forgiveness is key to healing oneself, ministering to others and forging ahead in life. If you are experiencing relationships where judgment, pride, resentment, anger, hurt or blame are present, then forgiveness is likely absent and you are not experiencing your connection to Source. Additionally, these negative energetic wedges stand in the way of manifesting what you want. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Using Ho’oponopono (pronounced hoe-oh-poe-no-poe-no), the Hawaiian forgiveness method you can quickly free yourself from the negative feelings and feel relief and love that comes with forgiveness. Ho’oponopono is one of the most important tools in the Hawaiian shamanic tradition of Huna.

You will gain insight into this ancient shamanic tradition, experience the Ho’oponopono process, receive instructions on how to actively work this process in your own life and experience more freedom, grace and love.

1:00pm to 2:00pm

CPR certification for UCM ministerial students  ($10.)

2:00pm to 5:00pm

Michael Berry

Foot Magic aka Sole Healing  ($25.)

Experience a gentle form of foot therapy that is safe, fun, and easily learned. Unlike classic reflexology, Foot Magic utilizes gentle strokes and movement to remind your feet that they can actually be COMFORTABLE.

The basic class teaches a simple method for general relaxation and health enhancement, including specific strokes for working on the feet, contraindications (when to not touch), how to select a good lotion, and proper body mechanics.

This is full participation – you will learn to give and receive this work!

Socks and loose fitting clothing are appropriate.

Your guide on this magical path is Michael Berry. He has studied over 50 forms of Bodymindspirit healing and has been a practitioner and teacher for over 26 years.

Vol. 9 pg.14 (04-08-10)

I affirm that all domains of my life—career, relationships, and family—are always moving through cycles of change.

Embracing the Mystery

Mother Earth has really been pitching a fit and throwing her weight around this month, how are you coping with it?

When all the words have been written, and all the phrases have been spoken, the great mystery of life will still remain.

Tragedies like cyclones, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes and fire occur, bad things happen to good people and sufferings are visited upon the innocent.  We are prisoners of time, witnesses of transformation, victims of biology, hostages of our own capacity to dream.

At times it all seems too much, impossible to accept. We must stand against this. The world is a great and mysterious place, and it contains within it all the possibilities that our hearts can conceive. If we incline our hearts toward the darkness, we will see the darkness. If we incline them toward the light, we will see the light.

Life is but a dream we renew each day. It is up to us to infuse this dream with light, and to cultivate, as best as we are able, the ways and habits of love.

The universe is a vast and magical membrane of meaning, stretching across time and space, and is not given us to know her secrets and her ways. Perhaps we were placed here to meet the challenge of a single moment; perhaps the touch we make will cause the touch that will change the world.

When we come to the end of our journey, and the issues that so concerned us recede from us like the day before the coming night, it will be these small touches—the child we have helped, the garden we have planned, the meal we have prepared when we were too weary to do so—that will become our legacy to the universe.

If we have played our part well—offering love where it was needed, strength and caring where it was lacking; if we have tended the earth and its creatures with a sense of humble stewardship—we will have done enough. We may pass quietly and rest gently in the knowledge that we have left the world a little warmer, a little kinder, a little richer in love. Though our moment was brief, and our part small, somewhere, in the fullness of time, our acts will bear fruit, and the earth will raise up a bit of goodness of our memory.

Excerpts from Simple Truths by Kent Nerburn

“I see my path, but I don’t know where it leads. Not knowing where I’m going is what inspires me to travel it.”~Rosalia de Castro

“Life is short, break the rules, forgive sooner, love with true love,

laugh without control and always keep smiling.

Maybe life is not the party that we were expecting,

but in the mean time, we’re here and we can still dance…..”

A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk I have a workstation.

TEACHER: Can you tell me what death is?

PUPIL: Patrick Henry’s second choice.

TEACHER: Now class, whatever I ask, I want you to all answer at once. How much is six plus four?

CLASS: At once!

Did you Know…

…after a large earthquake the earth rings like a bell?

…a hurricane releases more energy than all the world’s nuclear weapons?

…according to the Saffir-Sinpson hurricane scale a category five means wind speed of 155 mph and up?

…all continent names end with the same letter in which they start? Europe, Antarctica, Australia, Africa, Asia, North and South America.

…the Main Library at Indiana University sinks over an inch every year. The reason? When it was built, engineers failed to take into account the weight of all the books!

What Feeds My Soul?

April 10, 2010

What feeds my soul?  What is my bliss?

These questions seem simple, but when I think on them, they are truly profound.  Discovering and being my true authentic self is what truly feeds my soul.  That is what feeds my soul.  Now that statement is more complex then it sounds.  What is discovering and being my authentic self?  I first need to understand that I am not the roles I play in life.  I am not a wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, healer, minister, incest survivor, teacher, etc. etc. No, I am not those things. I play those roles in this life but I am not those things.  I have a much greater and more profound purpose.  I also need to let go of the roles of my ancestors, which I continue to play out for them, as my mother played the role of her ancestors, and so on. When I stop playing the roles of my ancestors and begin to be my true authentic self I also release my children to be their true authentic selves.  My bliss – I am a manifestation of God, of Love.  Seeing all things through love gives me freedom, freedom to know and feel God within me, freedom to see the lesson and not play the role of victim, savoir, or bully. When I see through the eyes of love, everything is in its right order.

April 28th – Sun conjoins Mercury @ 9:44am.

The big aspect this month is:

Saturn retrograde @ 28 Virgo 46 opposite Uranus @ 28 Pisces 46.

This aspect has 5 passes.

1. Election day in the USA, November 4th 2008.

2. February 9th 2009

3. September 15th 2009.

4. April 26th, 2010.

5. July 26th, 2010. New phase for USA.  More on this in future blogs.

The first four passes are in the Mutable signs of Virgo and Pisces.  Mutable signs are known for vacillating, and compromising.

Pisces and Virgo deal with service and sacrifice for the larger good of society.

So lots of us are in the last throws of making change.

The biggie is the fifth and finale pass on July 26th, 2010, when Saturn is at 00 Libra 25 and Uranus is retrograde at 00Aries 25… It shall not go gently into that good night.  What ever has been worked out during the first 4 phases will manifest for good and/or evil during the 5th phase.

Aries and Libra are Cardinal signs…. action signs…. Aries is spontaneous action, the pioneer, the warrior/soldier, tactics and Libra is controlled action, the General, the diplomat, strategic intelligence.

The 00 degrees of the Cardinal signs are known as the Ingress points in Astrology.

When you are analyzing a chart for a nation, you always do the Ingress charts to see what will be happening; especially the 00 Aries chart.

The Ingress points equate to the Equinox (00 Aries is Spring, 00 Libra is Autumn) and Solstice (00 Cancer is Summer, 00 Capricorn is Winter) points of the year.  New seasons, new beginnings, no going back.

So, since we are at the fourth and final phase of the Mutable signs of Virgo and Pisces, we are in the last phase of negotiations.  This is applicable to nations as well as everyday life.

Have your internal work done and ready for implementation.  I know it is hard work, but like politics and sausage making are not for the faint of heart, neither is moving into the unknown!

With Pluto in Capricorn the sign of government, business and ambition, and Saturn in Libra the sign of all types of relationships, the term hard ball comes to mindWhen Saturn goes back into Libra on July 21, 2010, the gates will open and the lions will be released.

Then about July 26th things will slam shut and the new way will start.  If you have early cardinal degrees prominent in your chart and you have stayed in a job or relationship that is not healthy for you.get ready for major change.

Instead of sitting back and doing nothing use this Energy to enhance your life!  What have you been waffling about?  Make a plan to be out of situations by the beginning of July at the latest!!!

Do a ritual.

Do this prior to all Energy work:

Before you start, call in your Guides and Angels of the highest light.

Note: if you do calling all Angels, the dark ones will also do a fly by!

See a Divine light enter through the top of your head and push out all Energies that are not in your higher interest.

See all the bad stuff fall out of the pores of your body and aura into a Violet flame to be neutralized.

After you are cleaned out, the Energy will make a cocoon of protection around you.

Then run your grounding cords into the Earth.  I visualize a grid in the center of the Earth that has my name on it, I wrap my Energy around it and anchor into a giant crystal.

From the Earth crystal I see another Energy beam flow up my Energy body into the Divine light.

Then you will have both the Divine light coming down through the top of your head and the Earth Energy flowing up.

Then see the two Energies spin like a helix expanding 15 feet in all directions.  See the Energy turn into a protective shell that only Beings of the Highest Light can cross to help you with your manifestation.

Lastly, I take a cloak of invisibility and place it over my work area.

The day prior to a full moon contemplate what you want…. really meditate on it, and be exact!  Intention doesn’t cut it.  If you leave something out you will find that the Cosmos has an interesting sense of humor.

On the day of the full moon, do the ritual, and the day after the full moon visualize yourself in the new situation.

The Next Full Moon is on Wednesday, April 28th @ 5:18 am @ 8 Scorpio 07

If you want help call me.

The Father/Mother Aspects of the Creator

April 7, 2010

In order to demonstrate the difference between our connection to a Father in Heaven and Mother Earth, a shaman tells his student to put a pile of horse manure on top of a stone and a pile in a hole in the earth and cover it.  They come back two weeks later and the shaman has the student dig where the hole was.  A few inches in and the manure had already begun to turn into fertilizer. They then went to the rock and the shaman pointed at the dry dung, and says “See, it still looks like and smells like shit. Our Mother mulches everything back into life; all of our pain, our sorrow, our grief, even our waste”.

My personal belief is of a Mother/Father God who is pure love and dwells within us, not outside of or apart from us. The problem is when we let our ego, which feeds on fear, tell us we are separate from God then we let fear control us.  We act out of fear instead of love in all we do. If we see all things from a point of love, then the fearful stories our ego feeds us are transformed into opportunities for growth.
