I am gloriously awakening to God!

The memory of God can dawn only in a mind that chooses to remember, and that has relinquished the insane desire to control reality.

You who cannot even control yourself should hardly aspire to control the universe.

All that is needed to train our minds to overlook all little senseless aims, and to remember that our goal is God.

The recognition of God is the recognition of you.

God dwells within.

God’s will for you is perfect happiness.

The journey to God is merely the reawakening of the knowledge of where you are always, and what you are forever.

We practiced an ancient truth, we knew before illusion seemed to claim the world

And we remind the world that it is free of all illusions every time we say:

“God is but Love, and therefore so am I.”

Saint Theresa’s Prayer
May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.

A man and his wife were awakened at 3:00 a.m. by a loud pounding on the door.

The man gets up and goes to the door where a drunken stranger, standing in the pouring rain, is asking for a push.
“Not a chance,” says the husband, “it is 3:00 in the morning!”
He slams the door and returns to bed.
“Who was that?” asked his wife.
“Just some drunk guy asking for a push,” he answers.
“Did you help him?” she asks.
“No, I did not, it is 3:00 in the morning and it is pouring rain out there!”
“Well, you have a short memory,” says his wife. “Can’t you remember about three months ago when we broke down, and those two guys helped us? I think you should help him, and you should be ashamed of yourself!  God loves drunk people too.”

The man does as he is told, gets dressed, and goes out into the pounding rain.

He calls out into the dark, “Hello, are you still there?”
          “Yes,” comes back the answer.
“Do you still need a push?” calls out the husband.
“Yes, please!” comes the reply from the dark.
“Where are you?” asks the husband.

“Over here on the swing set,” replied the drunk.

Thank you Rev. Maria Vera for causing lots of laughter with this joke.
