Rev. Doti Boon, CCL Pastor will be speaking about “When Irish Eyes are Shining.” – In honor of her Irish Grandmother, Kathleen (Kate) Murphy; with a name like that; she really can’t deny her roots. Today’s service is regarding spirituality, myths, magic, and the hilarity of the Irish.  Also, “A wee bit of leprechaun lore will be thrown into the pot of gold.” Tis a great day for “a wearin’ of the green” (Or orange – if you are so inclined).  Music, fun, storytelling and spirituality – now that’s my kind of church!

Carolyn Keyes and Rev. Janet Childs will be accompanying Rev. Doti’s guided meditation with their amazing music.  Min. Ronnie Grigsby, our incredible soloist, will be singing!

This class will be video-taped so you can actually watch yourself! Whether you are doing a work presentation, speaking in school or from the church podium – this is an enjoyable and informative class for everyone.  Don’t let a “fear of public speaking” keep you away!  We will use guided meditation and hypnosis to help you become an anxiety free speaker. Presented by Rev. 1:00 to 5:00 Counseling Workshop

For anyone wanting to help others:  ministers, teachers, doctors, parents, partners and close friends.

Session One:  1:00 to 2:45 .This class is being presented by an outstanding and loving woman with over 30 years in helping people deal with grief.  It is for everyone who has ever been at a loss for words of support.  Learn what and how to say the helpful and spiritual things when someone is experiencing the grief of death, divorce, separation, or any kind of loss.

Rev. Janet Childs will share her experience as a grief counselor at the Centre for Living with Dying.  She is the Director of Education for the Centre for Living with Dying in Santa Clara, and the Director of the San Francisco Bay Area Critical Incident Stress Debriefing Team.

Session Two:  3:15 to 5:00. Had problems dealing with someone’s drug or alcohol addiction?  This amazing woman will teach you how to be supportive without being co-dependent.  She will also lead you through some counseling techniques used with addiction problems.  If you or a loved one is suffering with addiction, what do you do?  What do you say?  What’s the most loving thing for you to do without being sucked into a co-dependent situation?  Come and find out.

Rev. Brenda Stern will speak about addiction counseling.  She was, most recently the Director of the Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Program at Adolescent Counseling Services in Palo Alto.  Thurs. March 17th 7:00 to 9:00 HYPNOSIS AND THE HEALING ARTS with Rev. Corky Whitacre. A look at how Hypnosis has been used in healing since the first person said, “Relax, this won’t hurt a bit.” All physical, emotional, and spiritual maladies are exacerbated by fear, anxiety, tension, etc. When you can relax and focus your ability to direct energy and heal is multiplied a thousand times. Rev. Corky has over 25 years of experience as a Hypnotherapist and Hypnoanesthetist. At the very least, by the end of the class you will be relaxed.

Thurs. March 10th 7:00 to 9:00 DRUID WORKSHOP #1 with Dr. Ayleen Augustine.  Join Dr. Ayleen for an amazing journey that will cover all basic aspects of druidic traditions and open a door into practicing modern day Druidry.  This 7 part series will explore the Seven Gifts of Druidry and how through these gifts you can deepen your connection to and work with Earth-based energies.  The cost is $25.00 per session for the general public and $20.00 per session for Divine Events and CCL members.  For more info or to register, email or call (408) 372-2840.

Since childhood, Dr. Ayleen has been a student of Druidic traditions.  The past 6 years she has studied several indigenous spiritual and healing traditions which she blends into her chiropractic practice.  In addition to training as a chiropractor, she is a massage therapist and is also certified as a Reiki and Matrix practitioner.

You will learn about different types of headaches, their causes and solutions.
