AFFIRMATION

My Every Request Is Being Granted

I don’t know how many of you have read Abraham as channeled by Jerry and Esther Hicks, but there is some fantastic advice being given. Abraham states, “If you have the ability to imagine it, or even to think about it, this Universe has the ability and the resources to deliver it fully unto you.

Wow, just imagine the power we have within ourselves! All you have to do is know what you want! If you don’t know what you want, you will not be able to block the negative things that are bouncing into your life! How do we do this? How do we discern what it is we want or don’t want? It is through life experiences.

I recently saw a U-Tube video showing babies experiencing their first taste of a lemon. It was hilarious – and each baby reacted much in the same way. They grimaced, closed one eye, threw their heads back and blinked rapidly. The consistency was amazing. And we are all like that, we experience things that we will carry as a ‘head thrown back blinking moment’ – for the rest of our lives. And some of us never repeat the experience! Thus, refusing to drink lemonade, eat lemon meringue pie or even think of a lemon slice in our ice tea.

And so, it is through our exposure to life experience that our preferences are born.  In fact, these preferences are exuding from you in all moments of every day, at many levels of your Being.  And according to Abraham, “Even the cells of your well-tended-to body are having their own experience and are emanating their own preferences-and every preference is recognized by Source and immediately answered, with no exceptions.”

Through our experiences we gain our perspective of abundance, and the lack of it. Many refuse to love again – because of having been hurt or won’t take a certain path, a new job or even taste a new food.

Sometimes we want a world without so many unwanted things; a place where things are exactly as we want. But, this is an expanding Universe and all things, even Brussel sprouts, mosquitoes, heartbreak and angry bosses must be allowed. For you to understand and experience what you desire, you must understand what you don’t want. In order to be able to choose and focus, both must be present and understood.

This physical world is not broken and in need of repair and you did not come forth to fix it. You came forth understanding the value in the contrast, and the balance in the variety.

As Abraham says, Every physical Being on your planet is your partner in co-creation, and if you would accept that and appreciate the diversity of beliefs and desires-all of you would have more expansive, satisfying, and fulfilling experiences.”

And, just because some people feel and choose differently – it does not make you right and them wrong. You are here to understand the value of diversity and that there is room enough in this expansive Universe for all manner of thought and experience.

As you pay attention to the way you feel and continue to choose good-feeling thoughts you stay aligned. Abraham says, “…the vibrational characteristics of you and everything about you will shift somewhat, and a new set of contrasting circumstances will inspire new preferences within you – and now, new rockets of desire emanate from you. And again, you have created your desire. And again, you have achieved a powerful place of clarity where another new set of contrasting factors surround you-which again will cause a new rocket of desire to be born.”

Source responds to this desire and it is a never-ending, always flowing, pure, positive Energy expansion.

The entire Universe is established in that way.  And as you begin to relax into the idea that you are an eternal Being, that your desires will never cease to flow, and that any desire that is born has the power within it to attract all that is necessary for the expansion and fulfillment of itself, then you may remember the immense Well-Being upon which this Universe is established.  And, you may then relax into the eternal nature of your own Being.  It is then that you will begin to enjoy your journey.

When you stay aligned, you always win, and somebody else does not have to lose for you to win.  There is always enough.  If you are not receiving what you are asking for, it is not because there is a shortage of resources; it is probably because your desire is out of alignment with your own request. There is no shortage.  There is no lack.  There is no competition for resources.  There is only the allowing or the disallowing of that which you are asking for and both are Universal growth and experiences!

So, stop worrying about when, where and how things are going to happen. You are a child of the Universe – experiencing all there is. And it is time to put out your affirmations and requests for what is already there! But, as a Universal being – you just might get it next lifetime!

MEDITATION

Two men meet on the street: “How are you?” one asks.  The other replies: “I’m fine, thanks.” “And how’s your son?  Is he still unemployed?” “Yes, he is. But he is meditating now.”  “Meditating?  What’s that?” “I don’t know. But it’s better than sitting around doing nothing!”

A PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Dear God, so far today, I’ve done all right.  I haven’t gossiped, and I haven’t lost my temper. I haven’t been grumpy, nasty or selfish, and I’m really glad of that!  But in a few minutes, God, I’m going to get out of bed, and from then on, I’m probably going to need a lot of help. Thank you! Amen.

How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg?  Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn’t make it a leg. –

PS from Reverend Clark:

February 24, 2011

With all the world events being broadcast on the news, this morning hearing reports of anticipated snow down to sea level here in our area brought a big smile to my face. Now those of you living in snow all the time might not see the joy in our getting snow on our front lawns, but since is was 70 degrees here just a couple of weeks ago, snow for us is big news! The newscaster was also reminding people to protect their plants and to wrap water pipes so they would not burst with the expected cold weather! I am also enjoying seeing pink on the weather map for expected snow. Lots of changes for all of us; may you find joy in the changes we all experience in our lives.

AFFIRMATION

I love to laugh at life and enjoy every minute of my existence

Humor in our Life

As I listen to one of Swami Beyondananda’s CDs – I realize how serious I have been and how much I have been missing laughter. What a JOY to smile, giggle, and laugh

“Levity helps us rise above whatever has been bringing us down.”

Swami Beyondananda

Have you laughed today? Laughter, along with an active sense of humor, is one of the best stress relievers around. When laughter is shared, it brings people closer together and increases everyone’s overall mood and health.

Laughter is so common a human experience; we forget how important it is in our life. Laughter stimulates the “feel good” chemicals in the brain, so you want to do it over and over. It has been found to alleviate depression, release stress, help your heart reduce pain, and help remove cancer cells. It is no coincidence that three of our best comedians, Bob Hope, Milton Berle and George Burns lived to be very old! Seeing the funny side of things keeps you alive!

Laughter is deeply wired in our evolution, predating language; with its origin in tickling and play-fighting. Maybe we laugh because we’re pleased we’re not actually getting beaten or killed. If so, we chalk that up as laughter’s first medical benefit. This is why kids want to keep playing silly games until parents can’t stand it any more. Laughter is “addictive” to the brain.

You can laugh yourself skinny! Laughter increases heart rate by 10 to 20 percent and burns about 1.3 calories per minute. Chuckle for 15 minutes every day for a year and you could drop up to four pounds – and that’s nothing to laugh at.

Laughter is exercise. Laughter is inner jogging. The heart rate and blood pressure go up while you’re laughing, but then they fall down below your baseline afterward, the same as with exercise. It has been found that it takes ten minutes on a treadmill or rowing machine to elevate your heart rate to the same level provided by a good belly laugh. So, to stay healthy go back to watching reruns of “Friends” or “I Love Lucy.”

Proverbs 17, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine”

Jokes to help you laugh and enjoy life:

Attending a wedding for the first time, a little girl whispered to her mother, “Why is the bride dressed in white?”
“Because white is the color of happiness, and today is the happiest day of her life.”
The child thought about this for a moment, then said, “So why is the groom wearing black?”
##############
Three boys are in the schoolyard bragging about their fathers. The first boy says, “My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper; he calls it a poem; they give him $50.”
The second boy says, “That’s nothing. My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper; he calls it a song and they give him $100.”
The third boy says, “I got you both beat. My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper; he calls it a sermon and it takes eight people to collect all the money!”
##############
A police recruit was asked during the exam, “What would you do if you had to arrest your own mother?”
He said, “Call for backup.

BRAVE NEW WORLD: OUTER PLANETS IN TRANSITION

Saturday, March 19th, 2011

10 AM – 8:00 PM

KEYNOTE ADDRESS: Bring on the Human Future!

Steven Forrest

5:00 PM – 6:30 PM

Uranus squaring Pluto, Jupiter opposing Saturn—with all the current concern about the intense planetary activity in the Cardinal signs and the spooky (and allegedly Mayan) prophecies about the end of the world in 2012, it is easy forget that Neptune will be a major part of the mix for fourteen years starting very soon. As the planet of dreams and visions enters the sign of its modern rulership, its impact on everyone becomes vastly more powerful.

What will Neptune’s passage through Pisces add to the current mix? In this talk, Steven Forrest explores the idea that the tensions of the current world situation will soon propel humanity in a new and more spiritual direction. This is not some New Age fantasy about Dick Cheney meditating or Paris Hilton getting over herself! Steven’s talk will be grounded history. He intends to prove to you that, behind all the apocalyptic fears, we actually have solid ground for optimism about the human direction.

2011 and Beyond: A New World Emerging from the Sea

Dale O’Brien

10:15 AM – 11:15 AM

Since 1925, a NEW WAY of looking at the signs of the Zodiac emerged, giving one unique image for each degree of the zodiac. Since that time, this collection of images, called “The Sabian Symbols.” has merged into astrology. On this very first day of Spring, March 21.2011, we will experience, celebrate and co-create the beginning of a new spring like no other before! This is because the Sun aligns with the bringer of changes, Uranus, in the very first degree of the very first sign of the Zodiac. The Sabian Symbol image for this degree is “A woman has risen out of the ocean, a seal is embracing her.” Simultaneously, Spring 2011 begins with no less than 4 “planets” in Pisces, the sign of moving water (the ocean) AND Neptune, “lord of the oceans” ready to move into Pisces very soon in 2011. It seems that “A New World” is indeed emerging from the sea. What might this mean? This astrologer, Dale O’Brien, has lots to say about that! Astrological meaning reflects the meaning of our lives as water reflects the lights that shine upon it. As the old song goes, “What does the deep sea say?”

Uranus in Aries: Taking Charge of Our Well-Being

Stephanie Gailing

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM

As Uranus marches through Aries for the next eight years, we are being called to martial our courage and initiate liberating changes that can further connect us to our sense of personal empowerment. Yet with its shocking and expect-the-unexpected energy, Uranus’ journey through the primary cardinal sign is likely to feel challenging for many. In this lecture, we will review the self-care tools—including dietary approaches, essential oils, flower essences, and lifestyle recommendations—that we can offer our clients (and use ourselves) to help galvanize a sense of physical, mental, and emotional well-being during this time. To add an additional layer of context, we’ll also discuss the health trends that we are likely to collectively encounter during Uranus’ sojourn through Aries.

When One Door Closes, another Opens: How to Flourish Financially in the New Age Dorothy Kovach

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Like it or not, a major shift in consciousness is upon us. Simply put, when the big planets change signs, so does our luck. The old ways no longer work. As savvy investors know, wherever Uranus goes, new millionaires follow. Knowing about the outer planets’ new celestial locations can spell the difference between getting rich or going broke. Uranus in Aries may even bring us the opportunity to rid ourselves of our addiction to oil for once and for all. It won’t be all sweet and light, though. The natives are restless, thanks to Pluto in Capricorn. Tea-baggers are only the beginning of the potential civil unrest that lurks in the future thanks to Neptune’s march through murky Pisces, which may only make matters worse by prolonging the recession. Bring your chart and your questions, and find out where to make money in this astrologically Brave New World.

Uranus/Pluto: An Astrological Hero’s Journey

Ralfee Finn

3:30 PM – 4:30 PM

This lecture presents the Uranus/Pluto squares of the next several years as the astrological equivalent of a Hero’s Journey. It contextualizes the cycle through a mythic framework in order to allow a deeper understanding of its power and potential for personal as well as planetary transformation. Often understood astrologically as the principle of sudden change, Uranus is infamously at the center of startling twists of fate. As the original Greek sky god who joined with Gaia to create the Olympian Gods, Uranian thunderbolts of lightning still catalyze transformation by illuminating stagnant systems in need of renewal. We have just completed a two-year cycle of Saturn/Uranus oppositions, during which time we witnessed the dissolution of structures and systems that no longer serve. But this process is not over. We have yet to witness what will rise from the ashes: we know what’s dying; we don’t know what’s being born. The next four years of Uranus/Pluto squares hold the key to what lies ahead. Pluto’s primal force always demands a death as well as a rebirth, and as it joins forces with Uranus, we will hear what Joseph Campbell deems “The Call to Adventure.” As the journey unfolds, it will be marked by a descent into the underworld, various trials and initiations, and most importantly opportunities to redefine masculine and feminine cultural archetypes. It will also include a reemergence into the world based on a new and expanded consciousness.

AFFIRMATION

I am loved and loving

So many folks (men and women) come to my office stating they need to lose twenty, thirty or forty pounds so they and attract the “right person” and this will make all of their troubles go.  They fantasize that being loved by the “right person” will make them all that they have ever wanted to be. But, their appearance keeps them from their goal. The fact is; unless you love yourself JUST THE WAY YOU ARE, that good relationship will always evade you!

“Love yourself,” say the words out load. Did you get a negative reaction?  Did the word “egotistical” come to mind? I don’t mean be self-centered, I mean: respect yourself, protect yourself, and care for yourself.  And do you know what? It’s OK!

Do you like yourself and recognize your good qualities? Do you know you are responsible for your own happiness, self-esteem and fulfillment? Or, do you expect a partner to come into your life to constantly sing your praises and lift your spirits? Or someone to make life absolutely perfect for you? It is unrealistic and unfair to expect a partner to provide this for you. Remember, you are here to live YOUR LIFE – not expect someone else to live it for you! Does that sound harsh?

If so, why not try something new? Start feeling good about yourself. Maybe, if you start small you can sneak up on your insecurities and appreciate who you truly are – A Child of God.

Start with making a written or mental list of five physical qualities that make you proud. They don’t have to be supermodel characteristics. I keep reiterating simple things, such as “I have nice eyebrows and small ears.” You can do the same thing. Find something just perfect about yourself. Next, find five non-physical strengths that you possess. For example, “I am a good listener and I am creative.” Don’t be embarrassed. You are the only one who has to know about this list. Add to it whenever you can.

Make a habit this Valentine/heart month of focusing on all of your good qualities, then work on the areas that you’d like to improve. Be aware of the things that you are sensitive about, so that you can alert others. When you see a positive reflection of yourself – others will react accordingly.

We quite often sing “I Love Myself the Way I Am” at Sunday Celebrations. Read it to yourself – and feel it in your heart!

I love myself the way I am, there’s nothing I need to change
I’ll always be the perfect me there’s nothing to rearrange

I’m beautiful and capable of being the best me I can

And I love myself just the way I am.

I love you the way you are there’s nothing you need to do
When I feel the love inside myself it’s easy to love you

Behind your fears, your rage and tears I see your shining star

And I love you just the way you are.

I love the world the way it is, ’cause I can clearly see
That all the things I judge are done by people just like me

So ’til the birth of peace on earth that only love can bring

I’ll help it grow by loving everything.

I love myself the way I am and still I want to grow.
But change outside can only come when deep inside I know

I’m beautiful and capable, of being the best me I can,

And I love myself just the way I am!  I love myself just the way I am!

Keep this in your heart and say it until YOU BELIEVE IT! And, trust me, great things start happening!

“When you love yourself, you become lovable”

Kim Morris

“In profound love, it is as blessed to give as to receive.  Such love is not unselfish love; of course we give to ourselves when we give to the other.

E. Walster and G. W. Walster

If you want to be loved, be lovable.
Ovid

It is sad not to be loved but it is much sadder not to be able to love.
